Now that you know the Top Menu, it’s time to explore what’s in the Left Hand Menu. As you learn more about your Mall, you’ll be amazed just how easy we’ve made it to Shop – making money every time you buy something you were going to buy anyway!

We think we can be fairly confident that all of you have been to a “Brick & Mortar” Shopping Mall. What’s the first thing you do if you’re not familiar with the Mall? Answer – you find the Mall directory sign. Your Power Mall is exactly the same. You can search for stores that carry the types of products you are looking for by using the DIRECTORY SEARCH.

Use the Directory Search by clicking on a category. The menu will slide down showing more specific choices. Click on your choice and the stores in that category will be presented to you.

Each store will show the % or $ rebate amount that a purchase will generate (this amount is spread over the 9 rebate levels). It will also tell you if they pay out on gift cards. Simply click on the store of your choice. And if there is a magnifying glass -- be sure to click on it for important conditions set by the merchant.

For instance, one of the Directory Categories is Home Living & Garden. Click on that and you will see the following Sub-categories:

-Bed & Bath
-Construction
-Furniture
-Garden
-Home Appliances
-Home Improvement
-Kitchen/Dining
-Tools

** Any time a sub-category has an arrow beside it; it means there are more sub-categories to explore.

Take the time to click through every category and see just what is there. You’ll find an exciting new store every time you do. We’ve been at this for years and are still discovering fun things within the Mall!

Information Booth

We have a neat feature on the Mall called the Information Booth. And, yes, we know we talk about this in the How To Shop section but we’ve discovered repetition is a great thing!

Think of this tool as the Directory or Information Booth at your neighborhood mall. You know what you want, but you may not have decided on the exact type, make or model. If you know in general what you want (shoes, TV, clothing, appliances, computer, etc.), simply type it into the white box below the text "Information Booth." Click on the "Information Search" button directly below it (or hit "Enter" on your computer).

You will be presented with one or more links. Click on one of the links and stores that carry that kind of item will be listed. Each store will show the % or $ rebate amount that a purchase will generate. If you hover your mouse over the store's name (above the banner) you'll see a description of that store. If you see a magnifying glass under the store banner, click on it and a pop-up window will give you any special conditions or restrictions about that store. When you click on the store's banner, you'll be taken directly to that store.

***SPECIAL NOTE: PLEASE REMEMBER -- (1) you must ALWAYS go to a store through your mall, never through an email that the merchant sends you, in order to have your purchase tracked. The only exceptions to that rule are the links in the Store Specials or Shopping Alerts that you receive directly from MPM. (2) NEVER bookmark a store -- always start your shopping in your mall! AND (3) do NOT follow links out of the merchant's store or we cannot track your purchase!

This isn’t all that different from the Directory Search but it can be a faster way to find the exact store you’re looking for! With 1000+ stores on your Mall, you need a tool to help you narrow down the ones that will carry what you’re looking for - allowing you to search for the best deal in your favorite store, or discover a brand new store you never knew existed!

Now let’s talk about some other exciting things you should know about, or how to do, with your Power Mall…

Hot Deals

The Hot Deals button on your Mall is one of our favorite features. We have a team of people who scour the Mall on a daily basis – searching for the best deals for you. The Hot Deals change every day – making sure there is always something exciting there for you to know about. Make it a habit to go there on a Daily basis. We’re committed to helping you SAVE money at the same time you are MAKING it!

Pick a Store

Enter just the first few letters of the name of the store you want, i.e. enter the letters "sea" for Sears. (Avoid typing in the entire name of a store as it may not appear that way in our database and you'll be given a "not found" message.) Click the Find Store button.

Jump to a Store

This is a dropdown list located at the bottom of the left hand menu on your mall. This dropdown list works just as if you were to click on the store’s banner. When you select a store from the list, a new window will open and take you directly to that store where you can make your purchases. Caution: this dropdown works in conjunction with the Ship to Country dropdown list. If you select a new country, the list of stores will change in the Jump to a Store dropdown, listing only those stores which ship to the selected country. PLEASE NOTE: using this feature goes directly to the store and bypasses any conditions (the magnifying glass) we may have listed for that merchant.

Ship To Country

We added this section to make it as easy as possible for our International members to shop in this predominately American mall by identifying the stores that will ship to your country. Click on the blue down arrow and choose a country. A list of stores that ship to that country will appear. The country you used when you signed up for MPM becomes your default country. You can change that list by simply clicking on another country.

While this next item is not in your left menu, it is important for you to know…

Sort Stores Result Page

When you are viewing the store icons in most pages, you will see (just above the store icons on the right) two links labeled: Store Order and Rebate Order. Both of these links are toggle links, meaning you click it once to sort in ascending order. Click the same link again to sort in descending order. By default, you will see the stores sorted by “Rebate Order” (descending -- that is, highest to lowest).

Shopping Tip: Gift cards may be available in a store on your mall, but that doesn't mean purchasing one will generate a rebate for you -- usually they do NOT! To find the stores that pay out on the purchase of gift cards, go to the Gift Cards link at the top of the page of your MPM Mall! (Click on the List of Gift Card Stores button once there, and BE SURE to click any magnifying glasses.)

Business Building Tip: Reply to other people's ads and let them know about My Power Mall. There are thousands of ads online that you can reply to. View the person's ad, and then copy down their email address. Use a subject line such as "About Your Ad" or "I'm responding to your ad." (Regina Cintron, Florida)

Change the World Tip: Volunteer in a local hospital's Pediatric Ward. There's nothing quite like a woman's touch when it comes to soothing an upset child or holding a baby.
