An issue we have encountered is people visiting the My Power Mall business site and being confused with the differences between Personal Malls and Business Malls. Some think you have to be a business to sign up for the Business Mall. And that individuals need to sign up for a Personal Mall. As you send people to your My Power Mall business site, you might want to make sure they understand the difference between a Personal Mall and a Business Mall.
While those of you building your My Power Mall businesses are focusing on getting people signing up for Business Malls, don't underestimate the power of the Personal Mall. Here are some thoughts along those lines.
Giving away Personal Malls vs. Business Malls
Below is a letter from one of our founding members:
I want to share a conversation I had recently with one of our fellow members. We were talking about how he was doing everything right, but hadn't had any recent sign-ups. I noticed as he spoke that many of the folks he was talking to were either current or past MLMers. Their comments to him were basically, "been there, done that, not interested."
In previous conversations, he'd shared with me about how excited he was with the mall and his experiences shopping.
It occurred to me that this would be a great way to share My Power Mall with those who were burned out (or just plain burned) by the MLM industry. Why not share his enthusiasm about the amazing mall he owns? Share the great deals, savings and convenience he's experienced! He could then invite them to sign up for a Personal Mall of their own, and just enjoy the savings and rebates.
What a great way to "get your foot in the door" with people who aren't interested in building a business! Don't be afraid to encourage people to sign up for a Personal Mall. It's true that only you and they receive the rebates for their purchases. But several things will happen.
1) They'll find out first-hand what an amazing mall we have! Over 1,100 stores (and counting)!
2) They'll start getting checks and finding out that, hey, this thing really works!
3) They'll start sharing it with friends and family who will want to get there own malls and make money like they are.
BINGO!!
4) When they come back to you about having those people sign up under you, thank them profusely for helping you build your business! Then ask if they wouldn't like to have their friends and family sign up under them instead?! (Upgrading from a Personal to a Business Mall is extremely simple in their back office!)
5) Some people will never want to build a business. That's OK. Why deprive them (and you) of having their own Personal Mall? The Business Mall won't be for everyone; well, not at first anyway. :)

So, give away Personal Malls when people don't want a Business Mall. That's not failure, folks – it's GENIUS!!
The timing may not always be right for someone to sign up for a Business Mall. But don't miss out on the new relationship you can build with a Personal Mall member. Who knows, that person may upgrade to Business Mall in the not-too-distant future! In the meantime, keep encouraging them to shop so you can both enjoy the income!

Shopping Tip: Sometimes your pending sales won't show in your Sales Report because some merchants do not report pending sales (this is their option). They wait until the product is shipping and then pay the commission directly, bypassing the pending Sales Report. Your commission goes directly to your Commissions Report in 60-90 days after the initial sale (this is due to the merchandise return policy determined by each merchant). Other reasons a sale may not show up are that you followed a link out of the store you were in; you used the link in an email from the merchant and went directly to their store instead of through your mall; you bookmarked a store instead of entering through your mall; or you put your order on auto-ship. We cannot track any purchases that are not made in your mall.
Business Building Tip: Don't overlook investing in yourself. Educate yourself with books on marketing and especially network marketing. Listen to or get a copy of "The Secret" and learn and practice the Law of Attraction. Become a better person and you will magnetically attract others to your and your business. Change the World Tip: Offer a "Bring A Kid to Work" day and encourage your employees to bring their child or a kid they know to work during the summer or when the kids are out of school on holiday. Let them "shadow" several different employees during the day (or for a couple hours, or half a day, etc.). Let the kids experience several different jobs within your business and all they entail.
